Pastor Michael has dedicated much of his life to helping others. For years, he provided comfort, guidance, and support to families across his community.
However, his own life changed dramatically following a serious car accident.
While traveling with his family, their vehicle was struck by another car, causing it to roll over.
Michael survived the crash, as did his four-year-old daughter, Emma, who was secured in her child safety seat. Tragically, his wife and their seven-year-old son, Noah, did not survive.
Michael also suffered severe injuries that led to the loss of both arms. Since then, he has had to adapt to a completely new reality while facing the challenges of his recovery.
Emma was also injured in the accident, but she has since physically recovered. She is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Level 1, and requires specialized therapy and ongoing support for her development.
Now, Michael must balance his own rehabilitation with caring for his daughter. Daily activities now require assistance, and adjusting to this new routine presents an ongoing challenge for both of them.
Their immediate needs include specialized medical care, rehabilitation, prosthetics, and ongoing daily assistance. Emma also requires consistent therapeutic support and a stable environment to thrive.
It is in this spirit that this call for support is made.
The goal is to help Michael gain access to the prosthetics and rehabilitation he needs, while also helping provide for Emma's specialized care and therapies.
Every gesture of solidarity can make a meaningful difference in this new chapter.
What happened cannot be undone, but the support of others can help Michael and Emma build a routine grounded in greater safety, care, and opportunity.
Supporting this family is a way to help ensure that father and daughter have the resources they need to move forward.
